Well, I've been feeling really uninspired lately. My last few projects have been a repeat of the same pattern in different colors and I need some new creative juice. I thought I would get the ball rolling and start up a challenge for any other stumped beaders around! So, for those that have not played...

[quote user="OriginalSin"] One thing I'd like to add, and I'll edit it into my first post when I have a minute, is that I'd like to see the pics posted WITH information on the beads you used. For example - if you used 2 different kinds of size 11 beads, say Czech seeds and Delicas...

Thanks Michele (HedgelandGlassLass) for posting a picture of your ring. I love the colors, and it just goes to show how different the pattern can look in different colorways. The ring reminds me of some Native American jewelry that my mother used to wear, that now belongs to me. Rose, I should have said...

HedgelandsGlassLass (Michele), I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had a problem with the size 5/o triangle beads. I agree, it's not necessarily a bad thing for the center of the star to go oval. Edited to add , maybe you could show us your ring (since it isn't your bracelet, but the result...

Hi Rose, My practice piece only went as far as the 3rd star, but it wasn't curving the ways yours is. Is it possible the tension on the top part of the join(s) is tighter than the join(s) on the bottom? It looks like there's a little space between the beads on the last join (where they connect...

Kay-Sea, you can also go to Ruby's website to download the instructions (all the changes have been made). I expect a lot of us are on the "slippery slope" and won't have a lot of time for this until after the holidays. Rhonda Here's the link to the star bracelet http://www.rubysbeadwork...

Way to go, Dorrie! These are much clearer, and I like the way she's gone through the center bead twice, which adds some stability. I'm glad that we were able to figure it out, but this will make it so much easier for everyone else! Thanks, Rhonda

Good morning and good evening! I took the instructions to bed with me, because that's where I tend to read my books about beading, or study beading diagrams. LOL, I wish I had thought to do it the night before, but it might not have made a difference. I needed to stitch one of these first. Under...

Hi Dorrie, Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you're feeling better tomorrow, but if not, please take care, and take it easy. I feel like I should add... NO beading for you, until you're feeling better! There's no rush to get this done. LOL, I didn't realize there was a...

Dorrie, no more procrastinating! Finish this one, and order more beads so you can make another one. According to the instructions, the center of the flower and the center of the join section are both calling for the 5/o triangle, and my interpretation would be that you could substitute in both places...
