    A while ago, I was looking for nylon findings, but I was looking for hooks, not clip-ons. I did find nylon earring hooks at CraftRunner out of New Zealand. THey only had 15 pair left, and I purchased those. I have never seen nylon or plastic clip-ons. I don't think they even have any hooks anymore...

The platings will flake off or the acid in people's skin will wear it off and often a plated item can be flimsy base metal (with allergenic or discoloring properties...
