A peyote stitch zebra pattern by designer Sigrid Wynne-Evans sparked my imagination. I envisioned the zebra’s head peeking out from among a jungle of micro-macramé leaves. At 80 years young, I enjoy combining beadwork with macramé. I crocheted around a round frame and anchored the macramé cords to the crocheted base. The zebra head is backed with Ultrasuede and attached to the crochet stitches encasing the hoop and extensions of the macramé sennits.
