Hi! I live about one mile from the ocean in a rambling farmhouse here in Maine, with my husband, two sons (one's away in college), and my three cats Ariel, Seven, and Indie. Up here in Maine there are a lot of short and wintry days, but our summers are to die for! So what do we do during the long winters? We make things, of course! Each day brings a different mood. Some days I crave the feel of fabrics, other days I want to work with glass beads and semi-precious stones, or oil paints, or pastels, or embroidery, or maybe flour, eggs and sugar! I find my inspiration from many places...I travel a lot for my "day job", to Italy, France, China, and India. I try to take time for myself everywhere I go, and I frequently travel with an empty suitcase to hold the goodies I find overseas! India provides me with the most amazing silk fabrics and embroidered blouses, China has freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones, and Italy and France have gorgeous accessories and costume jewelry -- absolutely fabulous! My house is practically overrun with all of my creative parts and pieces, and I actually kicked my son out of his bedroom so that I could have a room of my own to keep everything neat and at hand. Now that's a craft addiction, I think. The best kind of addiction.
