About Tess
New to the world of beading, I have been crafting since I was a child. When I am not engrossed in a good book, I am making something usually to give as a gift. I am also beginning to explore the world of polymer clay. I run an online bookstore called Treasure Island Books with my husband which specializes in quality used and out-of-print books. We have also added ephemera and old books for altered books, artist trading cards, ephemeral art, and greeting cards. www.treasureislandbooks.net. My husband and I live with roughly 10,000 books and our cat, Arlo, in Keizer, Oregon. We enjoy quick jaunts to the Oregon Coast and long road trips. I have a weakness for cartoons, gumdrops, Edward Gorey, jazz, blues, hazelnuts, live theatre, lighthearted mystery stories, and pretty rocks...not necessarily in that order. I appreciate the beauty of nature in all Her forms. I avoid pop culture whenever possible, especially sensationalized non-celebrities, whom I find absurd. I am a political and religious skeptic, preferring to think for myself.
