pearl or bead clusters that look like a cluster of grapes

I just can't figure out how to go a long cluster of pearls or beads that look like a cluster of grapes. I've tried to attach them on a chain, thick at the top and tapering down, but it just doesn't look right. You can see my loops of wire that attach to the chain. does this make any sense? The clusters I've seen are dense with gems or pearls and you can't see the chain in the center, or the wire attaching it. Can anyone point me to a tutorial? Thanks so much.

I can't point you to a tutorial, but perhaps you're using overly large chain.  Try a finer chain, and hang more than one bead per link (at least 2). That usually works for me.  As for your wire showing, try using finer wire, and really good quality round nose pliers, as they tend to have smaller tips to make a smaller loop.   Whew--holy run-on-sentence! I hope that helps a little.
