Will you be interested in Wired Chinese Knot?

Hello All, I am new here so thought I'd say hi, and at the same time would like to hear what's your opinion about integrating Chinese Knot with wires. Making chinese knot needs alot of bending and twisting so not all knots can be used for wires, I am still exploring - so far I've successfully integrated 3 methods, one of them can be used as jewelry base:

    Here it is, PIPA Earrings.

Please share your thoughts, I am keen to hear your contribution! :)

    Thanks!

Thanks, Pianomom, I do have another thread just showing the other pictures:

I think it's easier for me to directly post them here:

Hello All, I have created this pendant using the technique I used to create PIPA Earrings, mainly integrating Chinese Knot with Wires, the first one was created by silver color freshwater pearls, and the second one was composed with purple color cat eyes, both have copper base.

Please share your opinion if you will like to have some one to research into integrating Chinese knot wtih wire jewelry? Thanks in advance!

That is A lovely piece.  I am disabled and I am new to this.  I fell and hurt several discs in my back a few years ago and have finally found what I think I will like doing with all this spare time I have. Any information on wiring to me would be very helpful I am currently working on the peice from the cover of Feb. Issue  Need all the tips I can get at this point. The amount of money I spent needs to be justified to my husband by a beautiful piece..(finished peice)

    Wish me luck at least.

If I get through this I would like to try doing the chinese Knot.

I do have 2 tutorials at my Etsy store, first one uses Binding Knot on the base to attach beads, second one uses Chinese Knot (PIPA) as core. Here's the links I've posted in Bella, I am surprised that it can't be noticed. :(

    PIPA Pendant

Bracelet that uses PIPA knot and Grass Flower Knot, and a very strong clasps..

New technique: Pendant (Just done yesterday)

Do visit my store and my blog for more informations and pictures...

    Thanks and warm regards,

Bethy, to work out chinese Knot, you have two options - traditionally, people use satin cord, there is reason for it, because chinese knot requires a lot of adjustment after the tying process, if you use wires, your wires will get stiffer and wont allow you do twist after a few adjustments. So in order to make Wired Chinese Knot, not only need alot of experiments (there are a whole lot of my creations that failed miserably that never would see the light again), you need a lot of patience.

May I please suggest you this book: Chinese knot with beaded Jewelry

This book was recommended by some of the friend I met in another forum, and they ranked this book to be very helpful. :) Alternatively, you may search on the internet for some free instructions - but it would be in Chinese Characters..

    Hope these help. :)

Your work is lovely.  I have been working in beads and wire, sometimes together, for several years, and your designs are unique to anything I have seen so far.

I would be very interested in learning more about making Wired Chinese knots.  I am also interested in fancy knotting, or the knots used by sailors, sometimes called signets.  Any new information or directions would be appreciated.

I am glad that you found it's uniqueness. :) And I admire your passion, that you have been in this field long enough to tell if this is something new. :D

Please pay me a visit at my blog or store to see if you could pick anything up, and leave me some comments and opinions, and of course.. push me a little so that i can move further. :)

    *hugs*
