    Jewelry portfolio

I frequently get asked,'where did you get that bracelet' and it's one I've made and would like to sell. How do you create a 'portfolio' of what you make? I've thought of a binder with pictures but pictures don't do the jewelry justice.  Does anyone use jewelry rolls or use those trays with velveteen inserts? I was hoping for something easy to carry.

If you're serious about marketing your work here are some suggestions. If pictures aren't satisfactory you may need to invest in a digital camera. Try photographing inside with different kinds of lighting, outside in indirect sunlight, with and without a flash, and practice with the close-up settings. Most camera brands have websites where you can ask for advice. There's no reason you can't come up with some nice shots. Next set up a website and learn to download your photos to it. Get some business cards made that include your website and any other contact information you want to give out. You can even do this yourself on your computer with ready-made card stock - go to Staples and look into it. You can't always lug a batch of jewelry around but you CAN keep a batch of cards with you. Go for it!

i agree, a traveling display case is the best way to go, they have these thin cases that weigh almost nothing and are very elegant and can carry up to 20 necklaces and other jewelry styles, unless you want to show your entire one hundred and more jewelry, you can take high quality pictures and just create a nice photo album.
