    First attempt at Dutch spiral

I am so excited I finally mastered one of the spiral stitches.  I decided that I am going to teach myself one new technique each time I travel.  I started this bracelet on my way to vacation and finished it on my return. Instead of a toggle, I decided to close it and make it a bangle. I think it looks cleaner that way.  Now if I can only master my digital camera so that the color doesn't wash out at the top!

Looks great!  I think it makes a terrific bangle.

the term "quick learner" springs to mind. ;) Very nice. And very nice choice of colors.

If this is only your first attempt, I'm wondering what lovely piece of art will be coming next!

Very nice work...  Is the basic stitch peyote?  with graduated bead sizes?

Or something else?  Just curious because this looks really close to a Cellini spiral. :)

Love the colors that you used.

Thanks for all the nice comments!

I got the technique from an article in a competing bead magazine, and it was callled "Dutch Spiral" there.  I don't know Cellini spiral, but it could well be two names for the same thing.  You got it right -- tubular peyote using graduated size beads.
