How do you get memory wire end caps to stay glued on?

Has anyone had any success with getting the memory wire end caps to stay glued on?  I've tried every type of glue...nothing has worked...

I looked through the forum archives and found that "Gannon" mentioned that she made loops on the end of her memory wire using a fishhook tool.  Does anyone know where I could find this tool?

    Thank you for any suggestions!!!

Hi, If the link still works, there was some good information in this thread about glueing the end caps on, and the rest is mostly the trials and tributions of my learning how to use memory wire. If the link doesn't work, I'll try to find it again, and pull the suggestions I was given for glue. The FireMountain website recommended using Bead Fix, I think.

My only attempt glueing the caps was not a success (using BeadFix), and most of the glue ended up on me, and not where it was supposed to go. I meant to try it again, using the information someone posted, but in the meantime, I found that I rather enjoyed adding dangles to the loops on the ends. What once seemed so hard (making a memory wire bracelet) seems easy now, but learning also included learning how to do a "wire wrap."  Now I can make several bracelets a night, until my wrist says enough!  (I do this from time to time for fund-raising events.) Hello Seedbeadz,

Yes, I also tried the Bead Fix glue from Fire Mountain Gem and it didn't stay on either.  Now I'll check out the link you included...thanks!

I just finished viewing the memory wire thread.  It contains a lot of great information.  I guess loops is the way to go...since only one person, using Super New Glue, got the end caps to stay on...

I'd still like to hear from anyone that has a glue that does keep the memory wire end caps on...

    Thanks!

I haven't had much success with either the half-drilled round ends or the cone ends. I have used several glues, the most infuriating being Super Glue, which spreads Everywhere. It ends up attaching the last few beads on the ends of the bracelets, too, and those actually have stayed on. But dulled the shine a little.  But I have had a couple of bracelets returned for refixing, so I no longer take the risk of gluing. A loop on the end seems more secure, and an extra dangle is cute!
