    looking for famous jewelry associations ?

    I want to find some famous jewelry associations or organizations,beacause I want to learn some jewelry information about pearl,gemstone,coral,shell and turquoise jewelry,Can you kindly tell me several jewelry associations or organizations especially in CA,NY,LA,TX,NJ,MA?How can I find them?If use search engine,what's the keywords should I use?Thank you in advance.

    Good stone and mineral info is in my free gem index at Rings & Things Gem Index. Another resource is www.mindat.org. Searching with google you can find good info if you follow the stone name with the word "mineral." This eliminates a lot of sites selling beads or jewelry made with the stone. For example, google "turquoise mineral" finds lots of info about the stone turquoise.
