I just left Sonoma, Calif., for the California coast. As I sort my purchases from SoftFlex's Sonoma bead show, I'm reminded that you can find some special beads and components when you travel around a bit. Besides uncovering some good finds, I was reacquainted with glass artists Rashan Jones (pictured below), Leah Fairbanks, Lewis and Jennifer Wilson, and other friends, including Linda Hartung of Ala Carte Clasps. Scott Clark, plus Mike Sherman, and Sara Hardin from SoftFlex (pictured at left) were the consummate hosts to everyone at the show. My next stop is the International Society of Glass Beadmakers' annual Gathering, this year in Oakland, Calif.
