Bead&Button Show history

It’s time for the 14th annual Bead&Button Show! Yes, the show began back in February 1995. It was called Embellishments back then and kept that title until 1999. From 1995 to 2000, the show also changed its location every year: Austin, Texas; Houston, Texas; back to Austin; Sacramento, Calif.; and Portland, Ore. (for two years). Then in 2000 the show changed its name to the Bead&Button Show. It moved to its Milwaukee site in 2001 and has been located here since then.

I found a list of exhibitors from the 2000 show that indicated which exhibitors had been charter exhibitors from the 1995 show. Twentyeight of those charter exhibitors will be at this year’s show. This group includes: Anne Choi, Ashes to Beauty Adornments, Ayla’s Originals, Beadspinner Lady, Beyond Beadery, Bullfrog & I Ching Beads, Burgard Studio, DACS Beads & Crafts, Eclectica, Fire Designs, Inc., Fire Mountain Gems, Ghost Cow Glassworks, Isis Ray, JM Designs, Knot Just Beads, Kristen Frantzen, Larry Scott, Melek Karacan, Mill Hill/Wichelt Imports, Ovington Glass Studio, Queens Beads, Sharon Peters Silly Beads, Shipwreck Beads, Singaraja Imports, Talisman Associates, TIKA, Wild Things Beads, and Wynwoods Gallery and Bead Studio.

If you’re attending the show, look up these exhibitors and congratulate them for participating from the start.

See you at the show.

Lynne
