Resource Guide: More information to help you find and choose your beads

winding light 3Have you checked out the new features in our Resource Guide yet? If not, take a look. The Resource Guide (under the Magazines tab) has always been the place to find online extras, such as templates or bead sources, but now you can find even more. Starting with our June 2008 issue, we’ll be offering enhanced materials lists for every issue.

These new materials lists are in a printable format, so you can take them with you to the store, or have them on hand as you order online. What’s more, whenever we have additional information on specific bead colors or codes, we’ll share it with you here. So if you’re planning to bead Naomi Sakuma’s beautiful lantern or you want to know exactly what colors Jill Devon used in her berry bracelet, you’ll find the color names and codes that they provided. If you’re looking for more inspiration and ideas, you can also find additional color palettes for select projects, supplied by the designers and editors of Bead&Button. For example, in the June issue we featured Jessica Fehrmann’s lovely “Winding light” necklace. Jess made two necklaces, one in varying shades of purple, and the other in Montana blue. I made the version shown here using cobalt, tanzanite, and vitreal crystals — it’s not shown in the magazine, but you’ll find all the beads I used in the resource guide, along with Jess’ color selections.

We added these features to the Resource Guide based on reader feedback. Tell us what you think – take our June issue survey.
