Learn to make beaded jewelry

It’s a well-known fact that every person has her or his own best way of learning. This is true for mastering everything from reading to making beaded jewelry. Here at Bead&Button we acknowledge this fact by offering a wide variety of ways to learn to bead.

If you learn by watching someone else make a project, you can take a class at the Bead&Button Show and get personal, one-on-one instruction. Click here to check out the latest class offerings for the 2008 show which runs from June 1–8 at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

If you learn by following written, step-by-step instructions, you can subscribe to Bead&Button magazine or purchase one of our many special publications that feature specific projects or techniques. Click here to subscribe to Bead&Button, or click here to check out the variety of beading books available from Kalmbach Publishing.

If you learn by watching short video clips showing beading techniques and stitches, check out the Bead&Button Web site for video segments you can play over and over to see how something is made. Click here to access our BeadAndButton.com videos.

You’re never too young or old to learn something new.

Happy beading,

Lynne

I am basically a visual learner.  But, I find that it helps to read the directions several times until I can conceptualize the result.  Clear diagrams are a must for me when working on seed bead stitches.  I have had to teach myself beading because there are no bead shops that provide lessons near me.  I believe I am proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
