Free bead gifts

Isn’t it great when you receive the beads you have ordered and you find an extra little “something” included? Often these “thank you” gifts can be a really good source of inspiration. I left the packet of these beads on my desk for about a week. The packet had two turquoise donuts, two blue and two brown fiber-optic beads, and four turquoise nuggets.

I know that working here at Bead&Button should mean that creativity flows all the time. Not this time. They sat for another two weeks. I realized that I was over-thinking this. When I did the math, I found that earrings were just the right thing. Quick, fun, and so simple. I added some smaller beads to make a bail for the donut, strung up the rest, and added ear wires.

So the next time you are thumbing through Bead&Button, don’t forget about those wonderful little packets of beads, and let the projects (or pieces of a project) inspire you to put them to use.

I've not found free beads to be very helpful. Maybe I order from the wrong companies? I have used them for my grandchildren when they wanted to make things with grandma.

I just received a goodwill gift that made me feel appreciated. I recently joined the Beadworkers Guild based in the UK. Today I opened a packet of beads and instructions for a Spiral Staircase Bracelet that came with my "welcome new member" information. The guild even included a needle, spool of thread, and a lobster clasp. Nice touch!

I love FREE Beads... who doesn't love something for Free?  Sometimes they work for something I will make right away and other times something I'll use for a craft day with my two kids... either way all is good in my bead world:)
