I made it through one whole week of following through with my New Year’s resolutions. In years past, if I did make resolutions, I gave up by the end of January, and that made every January the hardest month of the year. This year I gave up a bad habit and replaced it with exercising every other day. Although my muscles remind me each time I move that I am keeping my word, I am happier and feel a lot better. I know it’s only been a week, but this year I am determined! Another resolution I made was not to put my personal beading at the bottom of the list of important things to do. No matter what, I want to stay connected to my own work, even if it only means looking at something inspiring or jotting down an idea. Maintaining the creative part of ourselves is vital. I encourage all of you to do something creative today.
