Beadwork aquarium going swimmingly

AquaAusbandJeanette Shanigan's Yahoo beading group, Beady Shenanigans, is diving into a fabulous project for the Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer auction. The group is collectively creating sea creatures and objects for an aquarium that  will be auctioned off at the Bead&Button Show's Bead Social in Milwaukee next June. Ginger Ausband from Virginia sent in this lovely sea anemone. Twenty-one beaders have pledged designs and several have already delivered their pieces, including Sooz Acuna (sea horse), Sue Smith (white rock), Terri Terrault (coral life), Karen Kelley Schultz (corals), Karen Durnian, Jana Keogh, Kaye Lervick, Sammy Stafney, Guiguite Yett, Robert Yett, and Mike Ann Zable. I'll keep you posted as the project progresses.

This is really neat.  I have always loved the wonder of the ocean.  Especially when I learned to scuba dive in Okinawa Japan.  There is so much more awesome and cool things in the water we can't usually see.    Judy in ALaska

I am always inspired by the amazing creation God has provided us and love to look upon it for the height, depth, width, and breadth of the colors and design.   Here in Alaska, you get a sense of what it means to be a grain of sand and yet have purpose and meaning in God's creation.   From the fish in the oceans striving toward the streams to the groaning of the glaciers with ripples of rainbows and deep all the way to the eagles flying high in the air.  One minute you can be part of the food chain and another know that as human beings we are so intricate and creative.  There is such an amazing array here and yet there is a deep sense of design, balance and order.  This is a really cool project.  Enjoy and I will keep looking.  WOW!!!
