In addition to being an associate editor at Bead&Button, I am an independent jewelry designer. I was watching the new video segments on our Web site from the Bead&Button Show, and they reminded me of how much I enjoy teaching and exhibiting at the show, as well as teaching other places. I recently learned that Swarovski has accepted two of my classes in beading with crystals. I'll be teaching the classes in Tucson during the Tucson gem and bead shows in early February, 2008. I’m really excited because not only do I get to do one of my favorite things, which is share my designs, I also get to go to the Tucson bead shows and shop! The Tucson shows, like the Bead&Button Show, allow me to see vendors and people I wouldn’t see any other time of the year. I collect art-glass beads to use throughout the year on the magazine’s Spotlight page and in projects for step-by-step articles. My search isn’t limited to Tucson, though. If you have a glass artist to recommend, I would love to hear about her or him. Please contact me at adraeger@beadandbutton.com.
