There's something about a button . . .

buttonI've been corresponding with Janet White, a member of the National Button Society's board of directors. Janet wrote a story about buttons for VintageStyle Jewelry, a special Bead&Button publication that will be published in January 2008, and she sent me an image of a beautiful bright-green button, which I thought you'd like. (I'm grateful for its cheeriness because it's been raining nonstop here for days!) Our readers sometimes request more projects with buttons, and we are happy to comply. However, we don't receive many button projects for publication. We would like to receive more projects with buttons that fit our submission guidelines. Of course, we never want to see a button altered or its shank removed. You can find a vintage-button project on the cover of our October issue of the magazine, which ties right in with my conversations with Janet.
