Back on May 4th, when the staff of Bead &Button went to The Gathering Place to learn basic lampworking techniques, I came away with more than just a greater appreciation of glass bead artists, and the skill it takes to make art glass beads. I picked out one of Cindy McEwen’s beads from her Cinderella series for Spotlight on the last page in the October issue. I love the base color and her whimsical detail, which easily led me to the design of this necklace.
