About Leslie Lawton
I've been making jewelry, seriously, for about two years now. I'm completely entranced with color, complexity and texture. Each of my pieces is one-of-a-kind and may include found materials: antique and vintage elements that add intricacy and create interest, e.g., steelcut seedbeads from 1920s handbags, old earrings, you name it. I use semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls in complex, romantic designs and am now making bolder jewelry, as well. I've been studying silversmithing and am doing bezel set pendants with Victorian buttons and large polished rocks, like picture jasper and Japanese writing rock. I'm gradually developing a following in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be expanding my business in 2004. News as it happens. In my spare time, I'm a copywriter and creative director. This background is helpful in marketing my jewelry.
