I primarily grew up in Honolulu, graduating from the same high school Bette Midler went to (albeit many years after she did).

I now live in Los Angeles with my DH, Michael, and our three cats - Bumble, Rabbit and Akasha. Michael and I both write screenplays. We're in preproduction on one of our scripts, and I've been optioned a couple of times and have won a screenplay competition. I've also sold several short stories.

I've been artistic all my life, and drew and painted all through childhood and high school.

I love cake decorating, and really got into it while planning our wedding. I could not believe what weddings cost and thought we could do better on our own. We did, and it was wonderful, and doing my own cake really got me into it. From there I branched out into papercrafts, and then while buying beads to use on my cards I saw an issue of "BeadStyle" and bought it on impulse. That was it - beading and jewelry became my passion. (I still do the others, too.)

My day job is as an Operations Coordinator for the Marketing and PR department of an online jewelry auction site. I basically process invoices, keep things organized, do contract research, do support for other departments, compose documents, and anything else that needs doing.

I like to think that I'm a cheerful person, and I have a wide range of interests, from theatrical fencing to belly dancing to reading to fast driving (I do drive in Los Angeles, after all), to the paranormal, and to lots of other stuff.
