How do you size a pattern for an anti-clastic ring?

Hey all you metal workin' gurus ...

I want to make an anticlastic ring. How do I make a pattern that will account for the shrinkage that the anticlastic forming will cause so that the ring will fit?

Also, I'm thinking I should make a pattern, cut out the metal, then solder the ends of the metal together before forming ... is that how you would do it? I don't know if it matters, but I use a steel sinusoidal stake with a delrin hammer for forming and a delrin stake and steel hammer for planishing.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Sorry Mollie, I have no idea how to answer this. Perhaps some one else has an idea?
