No mention of posting images/projects for Registered User Benefits....

I guess we'll just have to wait and see...but a jewelry making forum where you can't post pics is 50% useless IMO. Can't wait until the 18th rolls around to see what happens...

It will be interesting! Perhaps they just forgot to mention it.

It sounds like the whole idea behind it is to get you to subscribe.

Oh, wow! You think there'll be no more pik posting for those of us who can't/don't subscribe??? Holy *hit!!! Welp, there'll probably be plenty of members scootin', I guess, if that's the case. [:(] Although, it DOES say "download exclusive projects." Maybe, that's the same as SUYW? hmmmm.... [:O] [?]

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

I wonder what happens when your subscription expires to one of their mag? Do you just sort of go away?

We'll have to wait and see to find out exact details but I notice that the Subscriber Photo Gallery is different from the forum. None of the posts say we won't be able to post pictures (or links to pictures) in the forum.

I notcied that too Russ...posts don't say we can't...but don't say we can either...whereas they went out of their way to emphasize that as a Subscriber you get to post pics. I've been on many a forum in the past 7 years, and every forum I've seen with its own gallery doesn't allow hotlinking...maybe this will be the first? I sure do hope so! We'll see shortly.

I don't subscribe because I advertise in the magazine, which gets me a copy that way, so it would appear that I couldn't post a picture either. That's a bit odd I think.

If you're a registered user, you can still post your photos in the forum. The Reader Gallery is a separate part of the Web site from the forum. To post in the Reader Gallery you will need to be a subscriber.

Thanks for clearing that up Lindsay. It was somewhat murky as all we have to rely on in the way of info for the new setup are the forum stickies which do not volunteer much information other than the bare essentials.

That is good to know that non-subscribers to the magazine can still post their pictures. I do not subscribe to the magazine but I do buy, I'd have to say, every issue. I do not subscribe to any magazines. I have in the past to a few and it always seems to be a wait for 2 or three months to get it started so I don't do it anymore. I have missed issues at the store as I waited for my subscription to start as I thought my subscription was in effect and didn't buy the issue at the stands. The thought has passed my mind: why can't I access the subscriber's benefits when I purchase your magazines? Many of us purchase every issue. I have years of your magazines stored in my house as I am sure many of us do. Translation: lots of $ invested.

They would have to disable html posts to stop us from posting pictures.

There is no reason why they would do this.

We've been hosting our pictures else where so it doesn't eat up their bandwidth.

Does carrying your magazines in my store and buying advertising space in your magazines qualify as a subscription?
