    What's your jewelry identity?

Over the years, I've heard countless times of establishing that key thing(s) that makes your jewelry different than someone else's designs. Or, you need to find your niche and aim towards that.

After enough thought and reflection, I have determined that my designs are elegant and sometimes whimsical. I thought about the pieces of jewelry that I always wear and consider my favorites. One day it dawned on me that was my signature style. Someday I'll develop it more, but it's a pretty good slogan for my business cards. [;)]

So, what's your jewelry identity? [8D]

Hi, BeadDragoness! I've been told they're unexpected and elegant, depending...I'm not sure myself, yet.

I wanted to let you know somethin'...I went to your site and when I click on your pix (thought they'd enlarge), I was sent to Photobucket's Login--no pix. Figured you'd want to know that...take care.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

I make mostly monochromatic designs, non-to-slightly chunky. generally a fantastic pendant strung on a patterned strand which showcases the pendant. my work is usually symmetrical although I'd like to add more asymmetry. my polymer style is definitely abstract and organic.

    Wow elly,

That's really weird... I have thumbnails posted on my blog in order to save the people with dial up some time when loading my page. But, when you click on the link below my entry, it should guide you to the larger picture. I'll play with it some more and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!

[Edit: I fixed it! That was really weird!]

Sparklebee, I love your whole concept... especially the pendants. [:D]

My identity is my handpainted wood beads. Whether or not, they'll catch on I don't know, but I love them!

I just string beads (mainly mix a variety of media)...mostly classic color/combinations that fit within the neckline of shirts...I teach and most of my customers are also teachers...nothing fancy...unfortunately, it really gets to be a challenge to create something different...people want the same color combinations or styles...I try to mix it up a bit....I never EXACTLY copy one of my necklace sets!!!.....Although I've been asked on the forum,"why I didn't bead all the way around?" Most of the time I stop 3/4 around...teachers don't like the heavy stones/glass around the back of their neck...I do make the back of my necklaces weighted so they won't turn around on the neck....sometimes...I bead w/ smaller beads all the way around.

At my first craft show, I had so many women come up to me and say "OOOH look at the FUNKY jewelry." Since then, I have been the funky designer. I do occasionally get the simple elegance worked in there, but other than that, its either my colors, beads or the combo of both get classified as funky.

Not totally sure - mostly costume, but a few elegant pieces . . . everyday type of stuff w/ a mix thrown in . . . make sense? Eclectic?

There was an article written about me and my jewelry in the local paper and the reporter called it "Cowgirl Chic". I love that!

Multicolor beads mixed with elegant chainmaille. Usually 3 colors. Never monochromatic.
