    Dear Monica,
I'm not sure what you mean by "enjoy." You can enter the competition from abroad as long as your artwork is accompanied by a customs document called an ATA carnet which allows for the entry of artwork for competitions without duty. We will not accept international deliveries of artwork without an ATA carnet because the duty charged can be exorbitant. If you want to see the artwork that will be on display at the 2003 B&B Show, you can see all the winners of the 6 categories in the October 2003 issue of B&B and on the website as soon as the aforementioned issue goes on sale. We are publishing the Bead Dreams annual this June which will feature the entire 2002 Bead Dreams competition. If you want to order it, click on the following link: https://secure.kalmbach.com/csub/DSI_IATMP1_Order.asp?id=I3X21&cFid=434&pub-cde=DSI
We hope to publish another annual of the 2003 competition next year.

    RE: competition 2003

Hi Pam and thank´s for your reply!
I´m sorry if i was´nt clear with my questions.
I wonder if i can take part in the competition, altough i´m from Sweden and can not be there myself.
Do i understand the rules right; I first of all must send you 2 slides in color, no later then April 7, 2003. Then I will be contacted if i´m selected to take part of competition?
I´m sorry if i´m asking questions that is obvious for you, but i must check if i understood the rules.
    Kindest regards
    Monica

    Dear Monica,
Yes, you understand the rules correctly. After all the submissions are juried, we will notify those who qualified as finalists to send their work to us. If you are asked to send your work to be shown at the Bead&Button Show, you must get an ATA Carnet from your customs officials to allow duty-free entry of your artwork.
    Best regards,
    Pam

    RE: competition 2003

    Hi again Pam!
That was good news, i hope i will have time to do this.
The jury fee of $15, is that something i have to attach when i send the slides?
Or shall that be attached later, if i will be in the competition?
And i must ask you; I make hand-jewelery´s, i suppose that will go in categorie:
Seed bead work? I have approx totally 500-600 beads in one work.
I could see that one categorie is finished jewelery, shall i choose that instead?
I´m grateful that you take time with my questions.
    Kindest regards
    Monica

    Dear Monica,
The $15 fee must accompany the slides. Do the best you can categorizing your work. If we feel it is in the wrong category when we receive your entry, we will transfer it to the correct category and notify you.
    Best regards,
    Pam
