There are a great deal of beading stores around Australia most of which have a class available.

The place I use is Bizzarre Beads but I am not sure that they are in NSW. If I were you I would go into any craft store and ask them where your nearest beading shop was!

Hello Mandy and welcome to Australia....You will be pleased to know that there is a thriving beading community in Oz, Bead and Gem shows, beading societies and 100s and 1000s (squillions) of beaders.
As I live in Melbourne, not sure about what is available re lessons in Sydney but I do know that many TAFE colleges run short courses and there are many beading stores too also there are two beading forums on the net that are run by Australians and they will have lots of local information. the net addressess are;

If you sign on to one or both of the forums you will have the opportunity to speak with the locals and who knows maybe even discover a neighbour for when you get here.
