    Ott-lite bulb question

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I've asked for an Ott-lite from my husband. I found one at Office Depot http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=381732&Ntt=ott&uniqueSearchFlag=true&An=text that I really like. (Our Michaels only has two and this one is not it.) However, this is the Vision Saver bulb. How much do the Vision Saver and True Color bulbs differ? I can always order the True Color bulb, but don't really want to spend the extra money if I don't have to...

    RE: Ott-lite bulb question

In case anyone else wonders about this, I contacted Ott-Lite's customer service. After about 6 emails back and forth, I finally got the answer to a simple question. She says if the lamp is still under warranty, no, the bulbs are not interchangable. However, if it is not under warranty, do whatever I feel like.

So, not really a helpful answer, but I suppose it answers my question. They don't carry this model at any of the local craft shops, and he refuses to order anything online.

    RE: Ott-lite bulb question

    Navy -
I know I have seen Ott-lites on sale at Home Depot and JoAnn Fabrics... they are listed on both websites as well, but I don't know how to find out what stores they are in.
Re Ott-Lite's answer about interchangeability - that's just for the warrenty - if you don't care about that then just buy whatever light and whatever bulb and put them together.
