    Another artist to drool over

I just LOVE this women's work! So simple, yet colorful and... or I don't know..just woke up but I think it is truly wonderful! It says "painted polymer"..I would love to know her technique...I read on another site that she uses translucent and "infuses" color...anyone know how she does this and what she uses to get those fab colors? http://www.louisefischercozzi.com/ AND her website....I love this too!

If you get the book, Art of Jewelry: Polymer Clay, Louise has a project in there. She's a great artist and funny, funny lady. I was fortunate to take a class from her in 2005.

Yep, I'm with you on this, Fenian! When I asked Louise's permission to add her link to my website, she was very gracious and sweet. I've also got my fingers crossed that we have enough interest amongst our guild members to add her to our list of 2008/2009 classes - I'd be thrilled to take a class with her!

But until then, you can find her work in books, like Barbara already mentioned, and also in magazines. Here's a link to a site that has back issues of mags with articles by Louise: http://tinyurl.com/2hlf7s. The Belle Armoire has the article on the Sophie necklace, which is my fav.

    Happy Claying!

I got an email from a member here regarding Louise's technique with translucent and oil paints....I am going to try it ...I just love her beads...the colors, textures, etc And of course I love to "paint" with my powders so I think I am really going to enjoy this little venture with PC and oils.

Oh of course Oscar..it sounds so simple I am wondering if there is more to the technique that the artist may want to keep to herself...basically she bakes translucent clay and paints oils on with q-tips! Now how simple is that ( maybe not once I try it[:D])

ok...i'm gunna be the lone (i guess) dissenter...I like her scthuff...it's "ok." Seems to be "fab" colors, but, they're all kinda TOO in the same color pallete, to my taste. Which, is her "Style," of course, and that sells!!! I dunno, perhaps, it's too "moderne" for the moi and I'm not diggin' it, in terms of the continuum of the line??? t.e.t.o>eh? [:)]

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

At work now, lmao. Ding, ding, time for milk and cookies. Or they think we're having a cocktail party with our little colorful hors d'oeuvres on toothpicks.

And maybe it's just me, but along with the easy laughter and creativity, there seems to be a decided more collaborative, supportive and less-insecure atmosphere down here.
