Silamide vs. Power Pro -which is better?

Help (again)! I'm torn between what to use in the body of my amulet bag done in peyote stitch. Is Silamide or Power Pro a better choice for strength and durability?

For strength and durability Power Pro answers that question, however you will find it to be stiffer than the Silamide. Just dealers choice, flex or stiff.

I have used- or should I say have tried to use PowerPro before, and the thing that is not a good seller for me is the fact that it is such a pain to tie in a knot, and it doesn't do so well with glue...

    Cheers! =)

Ok I love power pro ...do alot of work big pieces in it...peyote and spiral and other stitches...I use mine doubled and put both cut ends thru the eye of the needle ...so you have a loop at the end which i attach my firrst bead not a stopper bead and then work from there. As for adding thread you tie the double piece close to your bead with the next new thread end loop in place and keep on going...you do this with a fishing knot.

if you would like more info email me and I will send you my class drawings....

I have taught this technique for years to people who were experienced beaders and love this threading technique....unforunately the weight of the thread will let you know what size bead you can work with .... I forgot to sat silamide is infamous for cutting itself when you knot it
