A QUESTION FOR BEAD AND BUTTON EDITORS

I need to know why, at the Meet the Teachers nite at the B&B show this year, half a table was Kalmach magazines displayed open to show full page ads of Austin Hamilton.
What did this company have to do with Meet the Teachers??? A woman was sitting at the table, I asked her if she represented AH, and she said no. The person that was, left for awhile.
Now we all know controversial this AH is, I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. Please respond on forum. Patti

    Response from Bead&Button Show Manager:

Regarding the Austin Hamilton display at Meet the Teachers Reception, as the Show Manager I have no knowledge of this. The only tables we had at Meet the Teachers Reception were two book signing tables for our authors Naomi Fujimoto and Brenda Schweder. There were no magazines there to my knowledge at our table. Austin Hamilton does advertise in our magazines, but my understanding is that they are half page ads - not full page ads. So again, there's some confusion here. Also, the magazines might have been displayed at a teacher table. I would be curious to know more about this. We have no direct involvement with promotion of Austin Hamilton.

I would appreciate your e-mailing me directly at mvail@kalmbach.com or by phone at 800-558-1544, ext. 591. Thank you. - Marlene Vail, Show Manager
