jewelry designer based out of nj looking for beader

Hello- I am wondering if anybody on the forum might know anyone or is interested in part time work for a very established jewelry designer based out of montclair, nj. She is looking for beaders that are experienced with wirewrapping and also she would be willing to train. Her pieces are sold to many upscale boutiques across the country and are adored by many celebrities. Please let me know if you know anyone who would be interested in this type of work.

I may be interested, we'd have to discuss the details of course. What is the best way to contact you (are you a gallery owner or artist rep?) or the artist? Thanks.

This type of post always gives me a bad kinda feelin'....Hate to be non-trusting in folks, but...Especially, when "celebrities" are mentioned, I havta think there's some sorta scam goin' on....Good luck, to those who opt to participate!

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

    Dear Elly,

    Hi!

I have to agree with you. I have heard of many schemes where they send the beader a kit that the beader has to pay for, get them to do the work for nothing, then turn around and tell the beader they can't use it for whatever reason, usually quality reasons, even when your work is good. There is a new scheme every few months and unfortunately a few people think they will make money that way every time and they end up out of pocket.

I wouldn't bead for anyone else, unless it was an artist I knew and trusted, a custom job, or a store I was working for and even then I'd want everything in the agreement in writing.[sigh]

    Love,Jan

Why not put an ad in the local paper?

Why come to a beading forum?

There are plenty of beaders in your area, my area, her area, his area. There is no lack of beaders.
