    2007 CHARM SWAP

I thought the old thread with new posts was kinda confusing ... so I copied and pasted the new posts here ... I hope you don't mind!

I participated in the original swap and it was great! So cool to see how diverse everyone's style is! I'm up for doing a 2007 charm swap ... but maybe we should start another thread so its not so confusing.

Can we go for 11? Odd nos. are more interesting than even nos. or could I be on a waiting list? This sounds like fun. I'm assuming all the charms that one person makes would be the same or would we make different charms? If you want to stop at ten I won't be offended, I'll just wait til next time. Let me know, Alice

Okay, I just realized this is an older thread with a couple of new posts. So, if anyone is going to have a charm swap for 2007 I would like to be in. (Just ignore my last post which is totally out of sync. Alice

If you want in on the 2007 charm swap respond to this thread saying "I'm in." Let's give people until June 1st to say that they want in. Once we see how many people want to do this we can decide on the specifics.

    Best wishes,

    Hi Petra!

I'm sure you'll be able to participate.
I'm all the way over here in Australia & I was in the last charm swap.

When we get the deadline for all charms to be sent in by, just try to send them off a week earlier so they get there in time.
And instead of sending a stamped self-addressed envelope in your package, send in a self-addressed envelope with 'International Postage Coupons' - enough to cover the postage back to you.

We'd love you to join in!

    Narelle,
Thanks for responding to Petra's question. I had no clue how you guys handled the international mailing issue last time.

TIME'S ALMOST UP TO DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, so please let us know if you're going to play! :)

    RE: 2007 CHARM SWAP

Here's how we did the last charm swap, do these guidelines work for everyone? Do we want to make any changes?
    3/4" max size
at least 3 cards thick (for wearability/strength)
no theme ... unless we want one this year (what do you think?)
August 1st due date (can send in early if you want to)
We'll each make 8 charms so that everyone gets a charm from each participant.

I'm willing to coordinate this ... we can send the charm swap packages to the studio that I teach at and hold the Baltimore Chapter of the PMC Guild meetings at, I go there at least 4 times a week and have a great relationship with the owner.

    A bit about shipping ...
Go to the post office with your package unsealed. Have the post office weigh your package and determine what your shipping will be. Include return shipping for the same amount in your package along with a self-addressed padded envelope/small box and mail off to the charm swap coordinator.

There are 8 of us who want to play, here's the list ...

MollieM, Are there any pictures from last years charm swap? I did try to do an advanced search but didn't come up with anything.

No, I'm not at Arrowmont but would love to be. Maybe sometime in the future. Right now we are just on a family vacation. But in October I will be returning to Gatlinburg for a certification class with Leslie Tieke at her store. I love taking classes and will be a perpetual student.
