Theme: Cool Waters
Due Date: July 31st, 2007
How to Enter: Between now and July 31st create a piece of wearable art with your interpretation of the theme Cool Waters. Please not that this piece MUST be created during this time period, so please do not submit older work. ALL forms of wearable art that fall under jewelry, or jewelry related will be accepted. Bead stringing, bead weaving, wire work, PMC, stamping, polyclay, smithing, are just a few of the forms that would be acceptable. To view old challenges please check here:

Who Can Enter: Anyone who is a member of this forum (BeadStyle, Jewelry Art, Bead & Button, etc)
Important Information : Once your piece is completed, use a digital camera to take a photo. A plain background, which allows your piece to take center stage is highly reccomended. Two copies of that photo will be required for display on the challenges section of this website. A larger image, with a resolution of 72 DPI and a size of 452 pixels in JPEG format, along with a smaller image to be used as a thumbnail, which can either be a reduced size of the full image, or a creatively cropped version of the larger, choice is yours. The smaller image should also have a resolution of 72 DPI, and should be sized at 70 pixels wide by 98 pixels tall. This will ensure that our photos have a smooth and quick transition from submission to voting.
Please submit photos to cammy@bejigged.com, along with a brief description of materials and techniques used, and any inspiration you wish to share.
Voting will occur once all photos and descriptions have been placed on the kalmbach website. Voting will remain open for two weeks. A winner will then be announced, and the prize awarded.
Please use this thread to discuss the challenge, any questions you might have, or any inspiration and ideas you wish to share. ALL submissions are winners in their own rights. Remember that for some, simply adhering to a timeline, or theme is their biggest challenge. For some they might have a fear of not being worthy... I say PHOEY! :^) We welcome all styles AND all skill levels into this challenge. I look forward to the following discussions, and to seeing everyones work.
Many thanks to Kalmbach publishing, and to Lindsay Headt for all their help and support.
Cammy
EDIT - Lindsay just posted this below, so I thought I would share up here for those of you whop don't read the whole thread:
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the Web site redesign that we will be undergoing in about three weeks, we no longer need two different sizes of JPGs. All we need is one JPG about 452 x 452 pixels at 72 dpi. The new software we're using will automatically resize it for the smaller image. The closer you can stick to the 452 x 452 size, the nicer everything will line up on the page
