    2 new chainmaille tutorials!

    G'day all,

I made a tutorial for making the Full Persian maille weave, it can be found at http://cgmaille.com/tutorials/fullpersian.html

I also made a tutorial for splitting a Full Persian chain into 2 chains, at http://cgmaille.com/tutorials/fpsplit.html

I'm sure you creative folks can come up with some nice uses for these.

    Cheerio!

I am a newbie, only just joined. I am astounded at what can be done with jump rings! I was so excited, I "jumped out" to the shop and bought R95.00 worth $14.00) jump rings and promptly lost the parcel!

I first saw chain maille done by Dragon Glass in South Africa and Stanley of Dragon Glass now sells 'n little jump ring maker. What does the forum think of those?

Phong is really something! Wow! I am in awe of this brandnew bug that bit me, chain maille!

More wonderful tutorials! Thank you so very much[:)]

It never occurred to me that a chain could be split as in the second link.... wonderful possiblities that one......

Just a quick question about the weave, is it also known as Foxtail or is that a different weave altogether?

Thank you again for you generous spirit,

Quite possibly. People seem to like giving weaves different names, so they can be tricky to keep track of. I seem to remember seeing Full Persian called Foxtail, but I'm not certain when or where. *shrug*

Thank you Phong. I just tried it with a few rings I had and it is what I learned from a book long ago as the Foxtail. This has saved me much time since I was always meaning to learn Full Persian and whoosh, I just did!

Thanks again for the great tutorials.
