making a tiara for first time...

    making a tiara for first time...

    hi there,

    i've been making jewellery for a while now and thought i'd branch out into tiaras (mainly bridal) but not sure where to start. i'm sure i could work out a basic design but can anyone give me tips on where to start? cheers!

    I have a beautiful book on the topic, and it gives great instruction, however, it came from the UK, and so do the components listed in the directions. I have been looking for a source of tiara bands in the US for a few months now, and if I could find those, I believe the rest would be fairly simple and fun. If anyone knows where I might get the round tiara base, not the "Alice Band", please post.

    I also think there are a couple at the "make something " web site. There was a thread on this with several tutorials - try an advanced search back to September and see what comes up. I think the FMG web site has some wedding tutorials including tiara and hair comb.

    I have looked into all this email adresses, but is not what I am looking for. I wan to make tiaras con metal components, flowers with swarovski crystals, etc. Does any body knows where to find them???
