    Another floating crystal necklace question

Hi! I've read some of the messages about floating necklaces, and think this is similar to what I want to do. I have seen necklaces where the crystals are fixed onto clear-looking wire at spaced intervals--no crimp beads, I think they must be glued. Does anyone know where I can find directions for this, or can anyone tell me how to do it?

I am wondering what type of wire to use--I bought some invisible wire, but it seems too flexible. What I saw held its shape well, but the crystals were also very lightweight. Also, should I use hypo cement, or some other type of glue?

    Thanks for any insights...

I've been searching for you. And yes, i have found something.

This kind of jewelry is called illusion jewelry. I have seen some ideas on www.beadshop.com.
And i have found detailed instructions on

I hope this will help you.

I wonder if that would work on a chain too. I have a "tin-cup" pearl necklace on a silver snake chain and I've always wondered how they did it.

When i make these necklaces - I use a 4mm or 3mm crystal or pearl and a string several beads on the different strands of tiger tail then i place a 3mm pearl or crystal strung on both of the strands. You can see what I'm talking about here - it holds the crystal beads in place:
