I believe the deadline for the 2006 competition was on April 10.

I know the Bead Dreams deadline because I missed it. By a lot. If I'm lucky, I may finish the piece in time to enter next year. I'd like to know where to find deadlines/entry forms for other seed bead competitions. I can't do FMG because I don't get my seed bead stuff from them. Anyone know of any other juried competitions?

Beadstork - if they sell the stuff you use, that's all you need. You don't actually have to PURCHASE from them. I checked that out last year. Besides, in a piece made from seed beads, who's gonna know if a few foreign ones creep in?!?[;)] ANd there can be other things on your piece if it's things they don't sell any of it - like ribbons or an antique spoon or an unusual piece of coral....................get the picture?

Not totally correct. If they sell the items that you're using in your piece, YOU MUST USE THE ITEMS YOU PURCHASED FROM THEM - there is a form that you submit with the entry, that lists your account number, the items number and description from their catalog (or your invoice). You can use items not bought from them If they do not carry those particular items - such as fibers, found objects, paper, vintage pendant, etc. And as they expand their products, what they don't carry is becoming less and less...They do check your orders against the form you submit to see that you've actually bought the items from them. In addition, the items you purchase must be full priced items - not sale, outlet, etc. items.

I was a Bronze Winner in the Turquoise Category for 2004-5 and bought the specific items I needed for the pieces I was entering in the contest, as I purchase the bulk of my materials from wholesale sources.
