    Love the latest issue

I picked up the current issue (Nov/05) this weekend. I loved it. I know that PMC has been hot and those are the projects being submitted, but it's been very PMC heavy lately. This issue was a nice mix of information and a variety of projects. Keep up the good work.

I think I might have taken the survey. I notice that in the gallery section you seem to have a good representation of enamel, but I haven't seen an article or project on it. It's a shame that such a versatile artform was going through some moments of near death. With the PMC craze it stands a chance at rebirth and it would be great to get a new generation interested. I would submit a project, but I don't do PMC and I think that it would be the greatest draw as the base material.

    Hi,

I agree about enamel! We'd love to get some more projects in the magazine, with or without metal clay as the base. We did have a lovely article in the September 2005 issue on using resin enamel with metal clay. The article was by Pam East, and is on page 64 of the issue.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

Thank you for featuring the Fleur de Link by Lisa Niven Kelly. I have taken several classes from Lisa, including this one. Lisa is very creative and a great teacher.

    Hi kristiward,

I'm so glad you liked the lily of the valley piece! Just so no one gets confused, I'd like to clarify that that piece was in our January 2006 issue's Beyond Jewelry department. (This original thread was talking about the November issue.) Thank you so much for your comment!

Thanks also to cynthiak for her comments on Lisa Niven Kelly's project in the November 2005 issue. Watch for another project from Lisa in the May 2006 issue.

Happy Jewelry Making and Happy New Year,
